Kayaking with the Tall Ships
The Tall Ships are coming to the River Thames over the Easter Weekend. Join us for a close-up view of these majestic vessels sailing between Greenwich and Tower Bridge.
Your trip will begin and finish at Island Gardens on the Isle of Dogs. We paddle along past Canary Wharf, Surrey Docks, Rotherhithe, Wapping, Tower Bridge and return home with tidal assistance. A voyage that truly gives everybody a unique perspective of London along with a sense of the wonderful port history.
Trips are suitable for all abilities (beginners too). Your time with us will be approximately 3 hours, time on the water is 2.5 hours. All equipment is included, however, dress warmly for the day. The trip is for adults (over 18s) only.
London Kayak Company is an approved British Canoeing paddlesports provider and we are fully compliant with the Port of London Authority.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
The event is for adults only. Over 18 only.
Where will my event start and Finish
Your trip will start and finish opposite Greenwich on the Isle of Dogs, we shall meet all guests on the shore. The location, which is the slipway across the road from the Great Eastern Pub on Saunder Ness Rd E14 3BW.

Transport Options?
We are 5 minutes walk from Island Gardens DLR ( Dockland's Light Railway) and we are 3 minutes from the northern entrance of the Greenwich foot tunnel.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
Bring comfortable clothes to paddle in, dress for the weather including a pair of training shoes you don't mind getting muddy. We supply all equipment including good quality waterproofs. Also bring a complete change of clothes. We have no toilet facilities at our launch site so it's advisable to use ones on route. Please keep bags as small as possible (small backpack).
