Here's what we'd like to receive from you when you are sending in press releases, news or race reports and features. The closer you get to this wish list the more likely we will be able to publish it straight away. (Submissions which need extensive editing or formatting may just be ignored as we don't always have time to knock them into shape.) We will edit submissions for suitability, spelling etc.
News/Press Releases
250 to 750 words with a photo or graphic (logo).
The words should be in sentences and paragraphs ... and make interesting reading!
The photo should be a jpeg file, maximum file size of 100kb and dimensions of at least 500 pixels in width or height. You need to have copyright permission for its use and tell us who to credit it to. It should be in focus ... and worth looking at!
- Don't embed photos in word documents, send them as separate attachments.
- Don't send us flyers, bullet point lists, or copies of your newsletters and expect us to publish them.
- Don't put a sponsors name on every third line or include dozens of trademark and registered symbols – the best way to promote your brand is to present an interesting story, not bore the reader with 'company speak'.
- Don't send copy on a PDF document. Yes, they look lovely but they are hopeless for republishing content to websites and will not be used. Send word documents and also paste the copy into the email body.
Race Reports/Feature Articles
750 to 1750 words with a few photos. (I know the race may have been life changing, but it still has to fit into 1750 words!)
Reports can be first hand by racers or sent in by race organisers. Keep the paragraphs short and the content interesting. It's better if you come up with a title but we can add titles and sub-titles when editing.

And last, but not least, don't forget to tell us your name so we can credit you with the article! We'll let you know when its published.
