Started off doing sprint triathlons a decade or so ago, but had to stop racing due to work. Having changed jobs a couple of times I was looking to get back into some racing for abit of fun when I saw the Eco-challenge on TV a couple of years ago and was hooked that such races existed.
Started of by learning how to navigate (again)by going through an A.R.T refresher, before entering into a few orieenting events and building up from there. While I am not exactly fast, I am persistent.
That was 2-3 years ago and having done 1 & 2 days events, I would like to give one of the longer races a go as part of a team. |

| Best AR discipline | Running (although that's not saying much) or skiing (which is a little better) |
| Worst AR discipline | Horse riding and night nav come joint first |
| AR ambitions | to complete a 5 day continuous race, but without losing the fun out of racing. |
| AR bugbear | Never seem to be enough events locally |
| AR best moment | Completing my first 2 day Ace Race |
| AR worst moment | Slipping on a rock and injuring my back during an Ace Race and having to pull out after training so hard |
| My AR best results | 2nd in my classification at a dynamicadventure event (of course there were only four in the classification). |
| Completed 2 Questar races in top thirty |
| Completed 2 Ace Races |
| My next AR events | Dynamic Adventure or Ace Race |
| Plan to get in at least 4 races this year |
| Favourite AR race | Toss up between Dynamic Adventure and Ace Races |
| Favourite piece of kit | Brooks AR trail shoes |
