| Tanya discovered the world of adventure racing when she returned from globe trotting and working as a physiotherapist in New Zealand in 2000. Growing up in Ireland, most weekends were spent travelling the length and breadth of the country for athletic competitions.
Tanya is rarely detached from a bike, with many bike touring trips completed, and this year she is taking part in the Etape de Tour, stage 16 of the Tour de France from Mourenx to Pau, 177km.
With her team member Zoe, they won the series prize in the female pairs category of Ace Races 2004.
Remaining focused in demanding situations, as well as being a committed team member, Tanya is eagerly anticipating adventure racing in 2005. | | | | Best AR discipline | Biking | | AR ambitions | Complete the Wilderness ARC August 2005 | | AR bugbear | Being too hot or too cold when racing! | | AR best moment | Winning 2004 female pairs series prize Ace Races | | AR worst moment | Hypothermia post canoeing, Ace Race April 2005 | | My AR best results | 1st 2004 Ace Race female pairs | | My next AR events | Bristol Rat Race | | Wilderness Arc | | Ace Race Sept 2005 | | Favourite AR race | Ace Races | | Favourite piece of kit | My Buff! | | Advice(tip) for other racers | Wellies are a must for Adventure Racing! |
