| In 1992 I heard of the Three Peaks Yacht Race and decided I had to do it
After various frustrating attempts to join other people's teams I decided to start a new team
In 2004, together with like minded lunatics I found on the Sleepmonsters forum, we formed a new team.
In 2005 we planned, entered, trained, prepared, and to our astonishment we won, and I decided not to do the race again.
In 2006 we returned to defend our title, made mistakes, and came 2nd, and I decided definitely not to do the race again.
In 2007, after merging with another team, and overdoing the training, we returned and won by almost 14 hours, and I decided definitely, no way would I ever do the race again.
In 2008, I didn't enter. Then I was lucky enough to join the Journeymaker team as a runner. Then the sailor's went and put us on Ben Nevis with a half hour lead and we had to run our legs off not to blow it. But we won, just. Anyway, I've definitely decided that I won't do the race again. for sure. no way. not in a million years.
