\"Thanks for this awesome abseil. That was something we will talk about for a long time\", said Thomas Blaschke of Team Hotzenplotz after the race. And the other 24 mixed, men\'s and women\'s teams agreed. To abseil 50 m free of any rock face or wall is quite something. Pure adrenalin rush ...

The international teams of two had to manage a lot more challenges, though. Two categories were offered to choose from by German organiser Robert Pollhammer. 50 km and 1,000 m of positive elevation (Challenger-Class) and 100 km and 3,500 m of positive elevation. \"Once again we saw that our Challenger-Class is great for beginners. You don\'t need to be an elite athlete to have fun. With the Masters it\'s different. People should be good at endurance sports\", explained Pollhammer.

The race had a lot in store. After the arrival on Friday there was the briefing followed by a great pasta buffet. The start of the first R\'ADYS Trophy for all teams took then place on Saturday at 9 AM at the Ice Sports stadium in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

The Master-Class started with a Mountain Bike Biathlon. Those who missed their target had to do penalty rounds with their bikes before the next discipline. Other challenges were a ropes bridge across a creek, Mountain Biking, Adventure Running, High Ropes Course, Tree Climbing, Kayaking and Orienteering.

No time for boredom. After almost two weeks of rain even the weather was in favour of the athlets. Sunshine all day.

All teams were giving it their best as nice prices were to be won. In the Master-Class one team was invincible that day. Team R\'ADYS.com with Adrian Ruhstaller and Bernhard Hug only needed 6 hours 48 minutes to get it all done - including an overall running distance of almost marathon length. Team Bike Point Jena came 2nd, followed by keep on keeping on.
