Baise Mountain Outdoor Quest
Chinese Multisport Season Open For Business
Rob Howard / 21.02.2017
The multisport race season for the events organised by the CMA in China is coming up and they’ve recently opened entries on their website.
The programme isn’t as extensive as in recent years, with just 3 spring races listed at present, though more may be added later.
These are;
April 21-24th; Baise Mountain Outdoor Quest
May 13-15th; Tai Mountain Outdoor Quest
May 24-26th; Wengan Mountain Outdoor Quest
Details are on the CMA website and there are a different number of international team places available in each race. The races have different stages for a variety of sports with overnight stops each evening in hotels.
All are for teams of 4 and each has $100,000 of prize money available, with prizes going down to 12th place. Another big incentive is that the race organisation will cover up to $US4000 for travel expenses.
The races in China (and the prize money) always attract some of the strongest multisport racers around and some big name teams, although with more races run by private companies now emerging in China the CMA programme faces more competition.
They are a chance to sample China and its culture with a well established organisation and if your team is interested you can find the details at www.cmaar.com.
