Red Bull Illume Winners on tour in Europe

Let the exhibit tour begin! Having unveiled the overall and category winners of the Red Bull Illume Image Quest 2023, the top 50 images are now to be displayed on unique 2x2m lightboxes across 15 different tour stops in Europe. 

Red Bull Illume’s partnership with SES Spar European Shopping Centers will see the incredible images exhibited inside their premium shopping malls throughout Austria, Slovenia and Italy. SES is known for their award-winning design, innovative marketing and the ability to bring people from all walks of life together under one roof. Currently they operate 31 shopping destinations across central, southern and eastern Europe.

The winners of the seventh Red Bull Illume Image Quest were announced in November 2023 in breathtaking Sölden, Austria. Here the creators, judges, partners and media came together with workshops, talks and the show-stopping Winner Award Ceremony where Krystle Wright took home the overall winner title. With the Winner Award Ceremony also began the exhibit tour. The tour is not only a fantastic showcase of their winning work, but it’s also a great day out for anyone who wants to be inspired and amazed by the feats of adventure and action sports athletes.

The variety of the shots is amazing, there is something for everyone. The lightboxes also provide a great alternative experience for those of us who are used to seeing photos on a screen. This is how epic images should be seen!”

Each of the top images is printed on a custom-made fabric and illuminated on 2x2m T-shaped lightboxes made by German manufacturer CCS Fabric Frame. This unique display blends perfectly into the classic yet modern mall-architecture of SES and presents the best adventure and action sports images in a truly unique way.

There is a total of 15 tour stops at SES shopping malls in the heart of many of Europe’s historic cities and provides a unique experience for visitors of all ages, photography enthusiasts and adventure and action sports fans.

The first stop will be at the CITYPARK in Ljubljana, Slovenia, running from January 9 until January 19, 2024. The tour then continues to ZIMBAPARK in Bürs, Austria, where it will run between January 27 and February 8. It then goes to the Austrian capital with Q19 in Vienna, Austria, from February 15 until February 23, 2024. The tour continues throughout the year until the last stop at CITYCENTER Celje, Slovenia, which runs from October 8 until October 21, 2024.
