PowerBar Becomes Official Nutrition Partner of the BIKE Four Peaks
News Release / 10.02.2013
Munich, February 10th, 2013 – Less than four months before the 1st BIKE Four Peaks will kick off, it's not only the field which grows. Also the sponsor pool of the four-days lasting mountain bike stage race is filling up. As of now, PowerBar is taking over the official nutrition partner package.
“There is no real multi-day event without a true nutrition pro at your side. We are glad that PowerBar, a leading producer of sports food and drinks, joined us,” says Mathias Ley, CEO of the Hamburg based organising event company Ley Events GmbH.
PowerBar will support all Four Peaks participants with their wide range of products and provide bars, gels and drinks at the food stations along each stage course.
“The participants of the BIKE Four Peaks stage race are facing a huge challenge. PowerBar will support them with the necessary energy at every food station,” explained Andreas Petrik, PowerBar Group Brand Manager Europe.
As PowerBar will host a booth on the expo area, too, all racers will have the chance to also get the perfect nutrition before and after each stage.
“On top of that, we will also professionally fit three BIKE magazine readers over the course of 90 days for the event. Besides training units this will also include some nutrition coaching. We hope that those three participants will experience what PowerBar stands for: 'You are stronger than you think!'” summed up Petrik.
The registration for the event (entry fee € 345) which lasts from June 5 thru 8 is still possible online on online-registration.de.
