Lorpen Introduces Coolmax Multisport Ultralight
News Release / 17.07.2013
Lorpen, a leading designer and manufacturer of high performance socks for outdoor and sport enthusiasts, introduces a new “Coolmax Multisport Ultralight” sock that is the thinnest performance sock the company has ever made. Lorpen has also expanded its line of compression calf sleeves to include a lightweight option for late spring and summer sports. The new Lorpen sock styles will be introduced at the Outdoor Retailer Show (Booth 34159) and will be available at specialty retail stores and online at www.lorpen.com in spring 2014.
“Over the years footwear designers have been making shoes that are lighter in weight but not compromising in performance, so it is only natural that Lorpen, as a sock designer, would follow the same trend,” said Bruce Barrows, VP of sales and marketing at Lorpen North America. “We think our customers will appreciate our new sock that is not only the thinnest available, but also maintains high performance benefits such as temperature control, moisture management and of course, comfort.”
Lorpen’s Coolmax Multisport Ultralight sock is the ideal warm weather sock for athletes who perform under extreme heat. The “T2” technical combination of two yarns – Coolmax and Nylon – wick moisture away from the foot, keeping it dry. The advanced thin design with an open mesh construction reduces bulk in the shoe, helps maintain foot placement within the sock, and reduces friction that causes blisters. Contents: 75% Coolmax, 15% Nylon, 10% Lycra. MSRP: $10.99
Lorpen’s Lightweight Variable Calf Compression Sleeve is designed specifically to reduce the calf muscle vibrations during exercise in warm weather conditions. Wearing a compression sleeve allows for improved oxygen saturation to the blood, delays muscle fatigue and facilitates an improved recovery after exercise. Lorpen’s new lightweight compression sleeve has variable compression throughout the sleeve so the athlete gets just the right amount of compression where it is needed most. Paired with socks from Lorpen’s T3 sock line provides optimum comfort and moisture management for the foot. Contents: 72% Nylon, 28% Lycra. MSRP: $29.99
