Badile Combi GTX® - Hanwag's most lightweight mountaineering boot suitable for hybrid crampons less weight on steep tracks
Press Release / 07.08.2013
With mere 530 g (UK size 7.5) Hanwag’s new mountaineering boot Badile Combi GTX® is one of the most lightweight boots suitable for hybrid crampons. The combination of low weight, the heel welt for crampons, the effective lacing and the Vibram® Climbing sole with high friction rubber makes it a fantastic companion for alpine rock climbs with short icy sections.
For more precision on your ascend Hanwag cobbles the Badile Combi GTX® over a special climbing last with a foot-near fit. The Vibram® Climbing sole with a nearly treadless climbing zone on the tip and the high-friction rubber compound guarantees great grip even on slippery rocks. Its torsional stiffness provides secure traction on scree and tough terrain and works fantastic with crampons.
The footwear specialist builds the upper out of lightweight, highly tear and abrasion resistant Cordura® fabric, combined with robust suede leather. The Ghilly lacing down to the toes with a leather PU reinforcing heel tension element ensures a tight fit in the shoe. Hanwag further utilizes a durably waterproof and highly breathable GORE-TEX® laminate.
For extra wear and tear resistance the Bavarian brand handcrafts a tough rubber rand around the lower part of the upper.
