PRIMUS LITE XL Â fuel saving all-in-one stove for two people
Press Release / 14.08.2015
With the autumn arriving a little early here in the UK it feels, PRIMUS are continuing to produce ultra compact, highly efficient, feature rich stoves that will be very, very practical on the mountain marathons, ultras, and at base camps/support crew tents that will be setup through the real autumn/winter yet to come. The latest is the new Lite XL.
The Lite XL is Primus’ latest addition to their range of so called “all-in-one stoves”, where gas canister, burner and pot connect to one unit when in use. The Lite XL comes with a 1.0 litre pot making it also suitable for two people. It features a low centre of gravity, offers outstanding fuel efficiency, is really convenient to handle and packs into a compact unit. When Primus introduced the Eta Lite in 2014, the highly fuelefficient all-in-one stove instantly became a huge success. So the Swedish stove specialist adds the slightly larger Lite XL for 2015. It comes with a 1-litre pot, big enough for “real” cooking for two people. The pot is made of hard-anodized aluminium with a ceramic non-stick coating and has an integrated heat exchanger and wind protection. Its transparent PBA-free Tritan lid also serves as a colander.
Like all Primus all-in-one stoves, the Lite XL features a high fuel-efficiency of about 80%. Conventional gas stoves reach about 40 to 50%. Thus, you need to buy, carry and burn less gas. The unique Triangular Joint Connection (patent pending) connects pot and burner with a quick twist, while the Laminar Flow Burner Technology (patent pending) gives the unit a very low centre of gravity, making it stand more stable. Burner (with integrated piezo-igniter), pot, an included plastic bowl, a 100-gram gas cartridge and the footrest easily pack together in a mesh bag into one compact unit.
