Patagonia Announce The Results From The European Worn Wear Tour
Press Release / 08.07.2016
In April 2016, Patagonia introduced the Worn Wear tour to UK shores for the first time, urging customers to make their clothing last a lifetime regardless of the brand. Patagonia set up temporary work stations at specific stops around the UK and six other countries across Europe, and offered free repairs on busted zippers, rips, tears, buttons, pulls and more.
This simple act of extending the life of our garments through proper care and repair reduces the need to buy more over time — thereby avoiding the CO2 emissions, waste output, and water usage required to build it. Stops included the Lake District, London and Cornwall to name a few and serviced a total of 2033 jackets leaving customers with a rekindled love for their garments and a smile on their faces.
We were proud to be a part of this project and can’t wait for it to return to Europe again this year.
The final stats. from the entire tour are:
- 2 vans

- 88 offsite repairs
- 518 DIY repairs
