Terra Nova Equipment Launches Bike Packing Tents With Tiny Pack Size

­Terra Nova Equipment is launching a new range of lightweight tents for SS17 which have the smallest pack size available on the market.

Until now tent manufacturers have been restricted in their attempts to create smaller pack size tents by the length the tent poles fold down to.  Terra Nova Equipment has created a range of tents with tent poles which fold down to just 29cm. Compared with the poles on their lightest tent – the Laser Ultra 1 which holds the Guinness World Record for the lightest tent in the world - this is around a 25% reduction.

The range of 3 Starlite tents are perfect for the fast growing pursuit of Bike Packing, for motorbike touring or for travellers looking for a more compact pack size shelter.

The 3 new tunnel tent models are quick and easy to pitch and have good ventilation.  The Starlite 1 has a packed weight of 1.12kg, the Starlite 2 has a packed weight of 1.53kg and the Starlite 3 has an extended porch which will accommodate bikes and a packed weight of just 2.38kg. All models have a packed length of just 29cm and sleep 1, 2 and 3 people respectively.

The tents also feature the new 'Seam Plus' water-resistant seam technology. This unique combination of seam construction and factory applied treatments to a silicone coated flysheet provides an extremely water resistant seam and peace of mind in heavy rain conditions.
