Exped Transfer Wheelie Bag Wins Industry Gold Award
Press Release / 02.08.2016
At the recent OutDoor show in Friedrichshafen, Germany Exped received one of only 8 coveted Gold Awards for the new Transfer Wheelie Bag.
Designed to convert packs and bags into a roller duffle, the Transfer Wheelie Bag is a unique solution for the travelling adventurer.
From the OutDoor show website (http://www.outdoor-show.com/od-en/industry-award/award-gallery-product/2016/2389/):
This clever transport and protection bag on wheels converts any type of bag or pack to a roller duffle. The carry system of the backpack remains accessible through a vast zippered opening. Whether to roll or carry your luggage has become a quick decision on the go. Transfer Wheelie Bag protects almost any size of backpack and additional gear during flights, transfer and travel: The rolltop closure allows volume adjustment for packs from 40-80 Liters, if used with a duffle, even 100L will fit. When not in use, it folds down to a small packed size of 36 x 30 x 24cm. Transfer Wheelie Bag comes with extra durable and silent wheels, yet weighs 1.6 kg only.

Jury Statement
A very practical baggage solution. Ideal for transporting luggage on adventures. The judges were impressed by the small pack size it folds down to when not in use.
“We’ve already used the Transfer Wheelie Bag on multiple adventures” says Kaj Bune of Exped USA. “On a recent trip on the Tour du Mont Blanc we used it to haul our packs and other gear through airports, train stations and along the cobblestone streets of towns and cities. The Transfer expands to hold a lot of gear and it rolls very well. Because of the roll-top closure it expands and contracts to contain small or large loads. And the big zippered access panel makes going from duffle to pack mode very quick. It’s an elegant, compact and simple solution to a common adventure travel challenge.”
The Transfer Wheelie Bag, in black and deep sea blue/black, will be delivered to retailers in March of 2017 with an MSRP of $149.00.
