Patagonia Micro Puff Hoody (£250)

Perfect as an outer-layer to protect you from stiff-cold breezes while you're trying to decide if you really want to get off the beach and into the surf, to help warm you back up afterwards, and layered under a rain shell when the rain becomes relentless.
Patagonia R4® Yulex® Front-Zip Hooded Full Suit (£450)
This autumn Patagonia have worked with Sheico, the world's leading wetsuit manufacturer, to introduce Fair Trade to the wetsuit industry. Sending more money back to the people who make our gear, and ensuring that the factory complies with Fair Trade USA's standards for safe and healthy working conditions. Warm and durable the R4 is a neoprene-free wetsuit made of 85% Yulex® natural rubber/15% synthetic rubber by polymer content; the natural rubber is derived from sources that are Forest Stewardship Council® certified by the Rainforest Alliance. Suggested water temperatures: 38–48° F/3–9° C. Put simply, this is the most environmentally friendly wetsuit ever built without compromising on flexibilty, quality and most importantly, warmth.
