Mountain Designs GeoQuest 2006

This year is the fifth year for Mountain Designs GeoQuest and some new compulsory equipment has appeared on the list, a chair and a doona, thankfully it doesnt have to be carried, it more for the movie screening on the thursday night as the Geo Festival kicks off with a screening of \"Fire, Ice and Dynamite\".

Leaving the credit cards with the support crew could be dangerous as there will be retail stands over the weekend, so retail therapy will be on offer.

The race continues to grow in popularity and is a great chance for those folk who have done shorter races to extend themselves a bit further, there is allways the Geo Half option aswell which this year could have a field as large as the full course, especially when kayaks are supplied. Competitors travel from all corners of the country for this race so its also a great chance to catch up with folk you havent seen for a while.

This years race we have been told has a bit of a twist, something to do with 5, will we be allowed 5 team mates, will there be 5 legs, could there be $5000 in cash in the lucky draw, who knows, if there are any Geo spies out there drop us a line we would love to hear from you.

Mountain Designs are back and are offering a 20% discount to competitors from the 15th of May so be sure to get your entries in.
