Source2sea Set To Take Teams To Top Of Their Game

Rob Howard / 20.04.2006
Source2sea 2006 is a new team-building event in which participants will undertake a series of challenges racing from the source of the river Dart on Dartmoor to the sea at Dartmouth, Devon. It’s set to start on 13th October and is aimed at businesses wanting to develop teamwork through challenging and fun exercises.

Each team will comprise 5 people and will have a dedicated source2sea coach to assist them throughout the event and each day of source2sea will be split into several stages, which will involve running, cycling and canoeing. Team orientated intellectual challenges will also need to be overcome in the event which will require logic, creativity and hands-on team working skills.

A grand prize will be awarded to the overall winners of the event but other prizes will also be given, including the leading mixed and single sex teams. Participants in the 2006 source2sea event will be given preferential entry into the 2007 source2sea series and the European series which is planned for 2008.

The two-day event takes place in magnificent scenery and costs £5,000 per team of five people. As part of source2sea’s ongoing corporate social commitment, they will donate 5% of each entry fee to charity.

Teams that sign up before the end of April will receive an early-bird discount and all training, food and refreshments are provided; entrants will need to supply their own bikes, helmets and clothing.

Professional, skilled coaches are also required to participate in the event and support the teams and all applicants interested in coaching at the event should contact David Sales on 07802 467148 or email david@source2sea.com.
