Raid the North - Sun Peaks Resort: August 4-6, 2006

Sun Peaks Resort sits on the Thompson Plateau north of Kamloops, and was the site of the first Raid the North in western Canada back in 1999, featuring a course designed by Chris Koch and Dave Hitchon of Team Spirit. This time Chris will be racing, but the terrain around Sun Peaks will provide teams with another exceptionally memorable and challenging Raid the North.

Known for its sunny climate, Sun Peaks Resort receives more than 2,000 hours of sunshine per year, and more than five meters of snow. More than 80 trails wind down 3,000 feet (1000 m) of vertical from the high alpine of Tod Mountain to the award-winning pedestrian base village.
