Adidas Canada and Sleepmonsters.ca Contest Winners!

The Canadian Adventure Racing Association National Adventure Racing Championships was held May 28, 2006 to June 3, 2006 in Timmons, Ontario.Sleepmonsters.ca readers were given the opportunity to win Adidas Canada apparel by keeping an ‘eye on adventure racing’ and reviewing race reports to answer trivia questions.
Here are our winners!
Series one:
1) What is the biggest nuisance racers face thus far? Answer: Black Flies (second most popular answer was Course Designer Bob Miller for the brutal second stage trek he made the racers complete.)
2) Timmins, Ontario is famous for producing over 42 National League Hockey Players: Timmins has also another very famous person that made and continues to make her mark in the entertainment industry. Who is it? Answer: Shania Twain

Series Two:
1) What is the "Winged Red Cross?" Answer: Black Flies (Hmmm…notice a theme here?)
2) Where is the highest point the racers will 'visit' and its' UTM grid reference? Answer: Ishpatina Ridge UTM: 189404. A tricky question – not so much from knowing where the highest point is, as this was given in the race reports, but in obtaining the UTM grid reference which was not contained in the Sleepmonsters.ca site.
