Hells Bells Reckoning.
Geocentric / 30.06.2006
The event this year is planned less than one hour north of Brisbane. The course has been set with some challenging navigation and winners are expected to finish in 12-14 hours (possibly closer to 14!). Not to mention that strategists will be in their element with many decisions to be made throughout the race.Due to the ease of team logistics, Hells Bells has always had a national flavour. Teams of three from all around the country fly in to compete. The race is unsupported, kayaks are provided and it is only an hour from Brisbane airport, what could be easier? You can even fly in Saturday morning and out Sunday night if you like! If your a team inspired to complete a 24 hour adventure race, Hells Bells can be it.
As part of the Area51 ARQ Series, Hells Bells is the culminating event. Queensland adventure racers have sweated it out at Kurwongbah, gambled it in Vegas, stepped it up at Kenmore and rushed around the Gold Coast. All that is left is to take it to hell and back on the 22/23 July.
The ARea51 ARQ Series also receives great support from Mountain Designs, Gap Cycles, Race Elements and Ourbrisbane.com Links to all the event sponsors can be found on the Series website.
