A busy summer!
Chris Koch / 14.07.2006
The "hits" or more accurately "page visits" on our site have increased dramatically over the last two months. We closely monitor our pages to assess what is of interest to our viewers and our hits for May were over twice our usual monthly totals. We can associate a good portion of this to Doug's coverage of the CARA National Championships in Timmins, Ontario which drew in a large number of viewers. For June, we again increased to over three times our usual monthly average. I expect this is somewhat associated to our usual summer spike, but; nevertheless, it is good to see our sport is drawing interest in Canada. So, on behalf of SleepMonsters.ca, thanks for checking us out. We are proud to be your "go to" site for adventure racing in Canada. Proud to be that site your workday daydreams pull you to:-). I know because I was there.
But, we have fallen behind here at SleepMonsters.ca. Being racers ourselves, has had us tied up at a few events. So, I'm taking this opportunity to state what you can expect to see in the coming few weeks.
Race Coverage: We have Raid the North coming twice to the west and you'll see us at both events.
Gear reviews: We have numerous gear reviews to post including Axis' Bike Map Holder - something becoming a necessary piece of equipment in my arsenal.
Stories: We also have a series coming up on some of the most supportive retailers our sport can have. They are the retailers that have been behind our sport since the beginning and see us frequently begging for deals. We will introduce you to their history and how they see the sport in Canada.
You'll see that and more race coverage, news, and stories. Feel free to let us know of your stories as well.
Have a great summer!
