Team Thorlos One are adding a new dimension to their participation in the British Adventure Racing Championship Final, to be held in North Wales next week. They’re doing it to raise funds for a Special Needs School. The Team, Anthony Emmet, Debbie Smit, Duncan Grant and Francisco Baratta, are based in and around London, and know the difficulties the School faces trying to provide suitable activities for its pupils. They particularly need support in providing pupils with after school clubs and Team Thorlos One would like to use their abilities to help with this good cause.
As Anthony Emmet put it: “We’re lucky to be able to run around the fantastic scenery of North Wales, and want to give a little back to those who don’t have the same opportunities we do.â€
The school they hope to help is Charlton School in Greenwich, which caters for 170 pupils of various disabilities, including severe physical disabilities, autistic spectrum disorders, and cognitive disabilities. You can find out more about the school by clicking here.
“By sponsoring Team Thorlos One, you will be helping give these pupils access to after school clubs and activitiesâ€, said Emmet.
If you would like to pledge a donation or even put a challenge to the Team then please get in touch with them by clicking here. They’ll appreciate your donation and so will the children of Carlton School.
