World premiere: Live TV on The Outdoor Challenge 2006!

Next Saturday, the 16th of September the Dutch Adventure Race The Outdoor Challenge will start with 100 teams taking part. This short race will be held in and around Eindhoven, the Netherlands, famous for its University of Technology, Football club PSV and Philips Lightning.

The race has a reputation for innovation and in 2004 and 2005 viewers could follow the race by an online tracking system and real-time posts on www.sleepmonsters.nl. This year the organisers are trying for a world first, the live broadcast of an adventure race via the internet.

The live broadcast will start at 2.30 PM (Dutch Time) with a small compilation of the race preparations, followed by the start and the race itself, including some short interviews and a review of the 2005 edition. After 3.5 hours on the road the show will finish with final interviews and the closing ceremony.
