The North Face Endurance 7 Challenge

Northern Territorry, Marathon 2

Tackling the hot and dry conditions of Alice Springs, Andrews set out on his second off road marathon in as many days on the famous Larapinta trail. Running 46kms in total, Andrews increased the standard marathon distance of 42kms in order to make it to Simpson’s Gap.

“I might have been asking for trouble by running those extra kilometers, but I feel in good shape. The Gold Coast was a tough night run, but its so beautiful here in the outback, you just get a in rhythm and keep going!”

Attempting to be the first person to run seven full off-road marathons in as many days, Andrews is well poised to enter the record books. With runs to follow in Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and New South Wales, the inaugural North Face Endurance Seven will tackle a new marathon each day, finishing on October 4. All the marathons are navigated by Magellan GPS.
