La Ruta Registration is Open for 2007

The La Ruta de los Conquistadores’ has already opened registration for the 15th anniversary event next year.The next edition of the “hardest mountain bike race of the world†will take place from November 14, 15, 16 and 17 which means it will have four stages instead the three race day format as it has happened for the past 14 editions.
“Due to the success of La Ruta 06 we have received lots of emails and requests and decided to open an “early†registration. 20% of the international entries are already filled and hopefully it will be completely full in the next few weeks. We also invited the locals to make their own registration soon so they won’t loose the chance of being part of the celebrationâ€, said Diego Viquez, La Ruta’s Operations Director.
A total field of 350 non-locals challengers is expected for the 07’s race, with the organizers counting on a total of 300 competitors from Costa Rica
The same five categories have been established for the next race; Open Men, Female, Master A Men (30-39), Master B Men (40-49) and Veterans Men (50 +)
On-line registration is available at the La Ruta’s official Website, www.adventurerace.com and complementary services registration (mechanics, transfers, massages, companions and support vehicles) have been opened as well.
The organizers will announce some more changes soon, mainly for new day’s course and some changes for the day 1 route too.
“The 15th anniversary edition will be a celebration of mountain biking at its toughestâ€, Viquez commented.
