adidas Natventure Trophy goes into the second round

Press Release / 16.01.2007
The adidas Natventure Trophy had a great premiere in 2006. German Race Director Robert Pollhammer has had more experience in organising Ultra Races such as the Yukon Arctic Ultra or the Jungle Marathon, and it was the first time he had put on an Adventure Race.

“With the help of our sponsors, the many volunteers and local experts we were able to put together a great race course”, says Pollhammer. “Of course we made little mistake but the feedback was so positive it was easy to decide to have another adidas Natventure Trophy”, he adds.

Now in its second year, this race in the Alps will be held twice. The first race will be held in the region of Seefeld (Tyrol) and Mittenwald (Bavaria) just on the border between Austria and Germany. And a second race will be held in the Tiroler Oberland and Kaunertal. Both regions feature beautiful nature and plenty of possibilities for adventure and sports.

“There are so many options, it will be hard to make a choice. The only thing athletes need to be aware of is that in Germany and Austria there is not a lot of cross-country orienteering”, emphasises Pollhammer. Still there will be navigational decisions on which way best to go – but rather than travelling cross-country, athletes have to use Mountain bike and Trekking or Mountaineering trails.
