The Max Adventure Paddle is hoped to be a regular event on the calendar over coming years, and is already attracting interest from a wide and varied pool of folk.

As we understand it at this competition should be fierce across the board as reports are the defence force could be fielding a few teams using the provided boats, likewise some of the paddling community\'s quicker paddlers will be lining up on the start line in team boats and singles with the hope of coming away victorious.

Its not going to come down to a straight out and back course, tides will play a big part, also as the Max Adventure website says \"the tide may enhance some checkpoints\" and access may also be an issue.

Footwear is amongst the mandatory gear mainly due to the fact that the Georges River is/was responsible for supply of oysters over the years, and also due to the fact that some checkpoints may be only 20 or 30m from the water while others may require using the numerous trails around the river and could involve a couple of kms on foot. For a full gear list, entries and more information check out the Max Adventure website here
