Kathmandu Max 24Hr Adventure Race

Elite athletes of the sport will be able test their skills against man and nature. The race is scheduled for the 22nd September and will be held on the Central Coast of NSW. As always, the exact location will remain a secret until two weeks before the event.

Race organiser, Gary Farebrother explains the new format: “Maximum Adventure is putting the call out to find Australia’s ultimate adventure racer, in what will be the first ever solo 24hr adventure race in Australia. Individuals racing in the solo category will take on the same course as the two man teams with only their support crew to back them up in transitions. Naturally we will introduce all the necessary safety measures to keep the solo participants safe, one of which will be a mandatory EPIRB to be carried at all times”.

Solo participants will also be required to bring their own kayak and paddling equipment making this category even more competitive. All team categories will be provided with double kayaks, paddles and personal flotation devices.
