One of the most innovative and exciting adventure races on the international circuit is back for its second edition. 7 Cerros Medellín, a 3-day staged race taking place in the unique city of Medellín, Colombia, is a fast-paced blend of The Amazing Race crossed with wilderness adventure.

What this city has to offer includes:
- an amazing environment for adventure, with seven forested hills rising above the bustling downtown area, offering a course that transfers abruptly from urban challenges such as scaling the city hall tower to world-class single-track
- an experienced organizing committee coupled with an enthusiastic local government, the result of which is a professionally run and well supported event
- wide interest in the race across the city, which results in every racer being treated like a celebrity

The first edition of 7 Cerros Medellín, which took place last October, was a resounding success. It is organized by Jorge Diego Llano and Luisa Fernanda Ríos, both veteran international racers (team Bosi Colombia) and organizers of the Bosi Travesia expedition race, which takes place annually in July.

The format of the competition is unique. The strong local government support stems from two main aims: to promote Medellín as a unique and safe tourism destination, and to promote sport to Medellín locals. To accomplish the first, visiting international teams were treated like royalty throughout their stay! And for the second, local sporting competitions are run in parallel with the adventure race.
