Tompsett Talks for AR

Rob / 05.02.2004
Gary Tompsett hits the road in the next few days with a series of gigs in London, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.

The first is a three-day residential at the Outdoor Adventure Show in the Business Design Centre, Islington, where Gary will be speaking at the Tiso Outdoor Workshops on Friday (15.30-16.15) and Sunday (10.30-11.15).

Gary’s workshops are described as “spilling the beans on the practical skills and mind games employed by adventure racers” and he will be using all the best pictures and tales to illustrate his points, perhaps even staging a practical exercise to demonstrate.

On Sunday Sir Ranulph Fiennes is also speaking in the Berghaus Outdoor Adventure Theatre (12.30-13.30) about ‘Living Dangerously’ and Team Saab Salomon will getting in on the act too. They will be in the Tiso Theatre on Saturday 7th (14.30-15.15), talking about ‘What is Adventure Racing?’, and in the Berghaus Theatre on Friday 6th (12.30–13.15) presenting “The Adventures of Team Saab Salomon’.

When Gary is not lecturing, he’ll be manning the Rat Race Urban Adventure Edinburgh stand (GW9) with Jim Mee and his little furry helpers. The stand is part of the Trail magazine / Blacks ‘52 Great Weekends’. Gary and Jim are encouraging people to visit the stand and share in the banter - you might even pick up on the trail of the Rat Race? Perhaps SleepMonsters fans could use the stand as a meeting place for the whole show, it’s near the Energy Café after all.
