There are not too many full-time job opportunities in Adventure Racing, but Primal Quest have recently advertised a post, and working for the biggest race there is could be a dream job for someone. So, if you live, or would like to move to, California, maybe this is the job for you. Their requirements give a good insight into how a big race presents itself as well. Here’s what they are looking for:Currently we have an exciting immediate opportunity for an experienced Marketing professional to join our growing and energetic sports marketing company.
Primal Quest Brand Marketing and Competitor Logistics
Responsible for coordinating all aspects of Primal Quest brand marketing events consisting of, but not limited, to event preparation, organization and management
1) Work with the Event Director in supervising the events and shall act as the liaison between the facility and all tenants.
2) Manage promotions and marketing to the general public and industry participants
3) Interact consistently with corporate marketing department in developing and enhancing sponsorship packages.
4) Coordinate procurement services for properties and vendors for hotels, transportation, A/V, communications and others.
5) Assist other departments where appropriate in fulfilling company-wide initiatives and goals.
6) This person shall handle event administration, including but not limited to sports event detail sheets, coordination of equipment, billing monitoring and drawings of event areas.
7) Work co-operatively with in-house competitor relations to handle compilation of event participant certifications, registration logistics, competitor documentation and lodging
Overview:
1) Prepare, develop, manage and execute Primal Quest brand marketing events sporting and otherwise
2) Direct fulfillment of all sport sponsors, licensee, supplier, and partner relationships including advertising, ticket promotions, etc.
3) Oversee and manage approval of the use of marks, authentications and other use of intellectual properties by sponsors, licensees, suppliers, and partners. Co-ordinate and produce post-event analysis and reports.
4) Manage all value-in-kind.
5) Prepare and distribute Requests for Proposals for host organizations to bid on events.
ANALYSIS, PROBLEM SOLVING, PLANNING:
Creative thinker with strong promotional coordination and execution
experience a plus. Must have a proven track record of coordinating a
multitude of activities simultaneously.
EXPERIENCE AND SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Promotions/marketing experience within the media, sports or event industries would be helpful. Must have at least 3 years of experience.
