Vaude Highland Fling

Wild Horizons / 07.10.2007
The way entries are coming in we’d expect entries to close within the next couple of weeks.

If you haven’t entered yet and plan to then click here. You will also find more information on accomodation, catching the the Flinging Scotsman to the Event and helping reduce your Carbon footprint, as well as info on joing the dark side.

The 2007 course outline map, profiles and some updated course info are now up on the website. We’re still tinkering with the course but it is looking likely the Half Flingers will cover approx 55km and the Full Flingers approx 110km this year.

Firstly a warm welcome to The Telstra Shop Bowral as the sponsor of the Bundanoon Dash. If you\'re in the Southern Highlands and looking for great service then drop in to see Stephan and his team in Springett\'s Arcade, Bowral. Entries for the entrée event on Saturday evening, the 6km Bundanoon Dash, are looking healthy. This is a fundraising event with all entry fees going to all the community groups involved in the VAUDE Highland Fling. Details here.

If you didn’t enter on your Fling entry you can enter separately now online ($10) or enter on the day ($15). Specialized will have their demo bikes available for those who may wish to try one for the Dash. The Bundanoon Dash will also be the final 6km in Deb Warren’s Ride of Her Life. Deb, a cancer survivor and blind since birth, is riding a tandem from Armidale to Bundanoon raising funds for Petrea King’s Quest for Life Centre. Deb will arrive in Bundanoon just before the Dash and do her first ever race. Make sure you’re there to cheer her on. here.
