Race Date Announced for 2008 Southeast MedWAR

Southeast MedWAR was the original MedWAR Race. Complete with simulated helicopter crashes, alligator-filed swamps, and ever-unique scenarios, it has continued to challenge competitors for seven years. You never know what may be around the next turn.

Teams for this race are Any four people with an interest in wilderness medicine. Teams often have any combination of healthcare professionals, emergency personnel, students of all varieties, and outdoor enthusiasts. Everyone is welcome. There is no minimal knowledge requirement. There are no divisions based on age, gender, or medical skill level.

Components of the race can include Land: Hiking, Running, Orienteering, Climbing, Ropes Elements, Mountain Biking; Water: Canoeing, Stream/River/Swamp Crossing & Wading; Preparation: Gear, Food, Water, Medical Supplies, Etc.; Wilderness Medicine: Knowledge and Skills and Unexpected Challenges...
