Kokoda Track , New Guinea - Eco Toliet Project.

This we hope, will be the first of many of these critically needed facilities for what is, without doubt, an iconic part of Australian History. Our expedition to walk the Kokoda Track is being done next April 2008 to coincide with Anzac Day and our plans have become a little more substantial than just trying to complete, what is on it’s own, a very difficult trek. As well, we have set ourselves some exciting objectives that will ultimately turn this trip into what will be a truly beneficial & rewarding accomplishment. My father finished his WW2 service in New Guinea and a number of the team members also have relatives who served there as well, so “the track” has a very special meaning for us.

So, here we are, out trying to raise some sponsorship funds to help us to deliver the first Eco friendly toilet to the KT. We kindly ask you / your organisation if you would be interested in helping our expedition group (Team BIGFISH) with our achieving our goals during our adventure to Kokoda next year in April 2008. Our group will total 15 (aged between 13 to 57 and of varying backgrounds) and also includes a professional filmmaker who will be along to record the journey and make a documentary of this great adventure.
