Skins in the Peak

Peak District based event organisers Dark & White Challenge Events have announced that their 2008 Adventure Race Series will be headlined by SKINS BioAcceleration and Compression garments.

The SKINS SIX in the PEAK Adventure Race Series 2008 kicks off on February 3rd with the first race being held in the Macclesfield Forest, Teggs Nose Country Park area.

SKINS are no strangers to Adventure Racing as they already support Team Accelerate. Edd Hames, Business Development Manager, at SKINS, said that, “It was a logical step for SKINS to begin partnering events in the UK. SKINS product has been highly successful since its launch into the UK and is ideally suited to the adventure racing scene with its unique features and benefits found in its compression wear”. SKINS has been designed following involvement in research for a number of years and are able to demonstrate its ability to aid athletes in their training, racing and recovery.

Adrian Boyes and Richard Patton of Dark & White Challenge Events are extremely pleased to be working alongside SKINS and said, “Skins are thoroughly committed to the Six in the Peak Adventure Race Series. Their ideas and input has been excellent and they will be actively involved in all the events”.

In addition the series of events has also secured support from BUFF who along with SKINS will also be providing both event and series prizes.

The official retailer for the event series will be Acceleratew who will be on hand at each event with the full range of SKINS compression garments and they will be able to advise on the correct fit and product for training, racing and recovery.

As promised each six hour event in the SKINS SIX in the PEAK Adventure Series will comprise of more than just Adventure Running and Biking and the first event will call for competitors to test their nerve on a rope section.
