Still looking for certification for this year’s big race? Two adventure racing courses and Mexico can help you out with both training and those much-needed papers.Frontier Adventure Racing is offering two AR courses in Mexico this year:
March 8-15 is the “classic†week, where you will get some solid instruction from experienced international racers in all of the basic skills of AR, including: navigation, ropes, first aid for AR, flatwater and whitewater paddling, swiftwater rescue, mountain biking, night travel, teamwork, strategy, and more.
March 15-22 is a more advanced week, building upon all of these skills but focussing upon the expedition format of racing – in fact, the format of the whole course will be an expedition, travelling and moving camp each day.
Many of the big international races these days require certification, and Frontier’s courses are one way you can make sure that all of your skills are up to scratch and get the formal certification that these races require, e.g. in first aid, swiftwater rescue, and ropes.
