Mountain Devils MTB-O 6 hr Enduro, Sunny Corner, NSW

We\'re going to run a 6 hour Enduro event at the infamous Sunny Corner, west of Lithgow, on Sunday 9th March.

Format

This is a 6 hour POINT SCORE event for teams of 2, with a MASS START. Each team has up to 6 hours to collect points by visiting controls placed throughout the forest.

At the start, each team will be given maps with the location of controls shown. They will also be given a list of controls with the points allocated to each control.

Both members of the team must ride together throughout the 6 hours. If the team visits the control, it will collect the points allocated to the control. At the end of 6 hours, the team with the highest number of points wins. If two teams have the same pointscore they will be ranked according to their race time (that is, faster time ranks first).

There will be a limit of 200 teams, so it is important to get entries in early. Entries close on 29 February, or as soon as the places are filled. The entry fee is $90 per team or $80 if at least one rider is a member of an orienteering club.

Sportident

We plan to use Sportident for this event. Sportident is an electronic system that records your times at each checkpoint. Each team will need to carry one SI stick. If you have one, please quote your SI number in the entry – if not, each team can hire a SI stick for $5 extra.
