Sean Roper, Race Director and founder of Storm Racing Inc., has generated a loyal following of adventure enthusiasts who look forward to his events with great anticipation each year. In 2008, an extra level of intrigue was added as his StT Elite Race doubled as EVENT#2 of 2 for teams vying for the highly coveted, fully paid slot in this summer’s Saab Salomon Mountain-X Race in the French Alps.After EVENT#1, the Salomon Giant’s Rib Raid out of Milton, Ontario, COED team Salomon XT Wings and MALE team Urban Athlete were tied with 50 points each. Close behind them were COED teams Beowulf and Axis Gear, each having points in the low 40’s. With 75 points up for grabs at the StT, the big prize was still very much open for the taking.
