2008 Castlewood 8-Hour will take place on December 6th

In 2007, the race drew over 230 participants and the top two teams were separated by a total of 4 minutes! It was a great race, and we are putting together a brand new race course that is just as fun and challenging as the past two years of the race, but will take you to brand new areas that you haven\'t been in the past.

The 2008 Castlewood 8-Hour is presented by Alpine Shop. Alpine Shop is once again showing their committment to adventure racing and the people that do them, and we would like to thank them for their support of this great race.

We will also be hosting an adventure racing / navigation clinic at Alpine Shop in late October or early November. We will have a date for the clinic finalized soon, and will cover some of the following topics:

- UTM Plotting
- Training / Preparation
- Transition Areas
- Race Navigation
- Adventure Racing gear
- Adventure Racing tips & tricks

Please keep an eye out on the Castlewood 8-Hour Web site if you are interested in attending the Adventure Racing / Navigation clinic. We will have the date and time of the clinic posted very soon. Alpine Shop\'s Web site will have the information posted as soon as it is finalized also. Once the information is posted, you will need to call Alpine Shop in Kirkwood to reserve a spot in the clinic as soon as possible (the clinic is open to the first 45-50 participants, and filled up VERY quickly in 2007!)
