8hr Enduro Countdown Has Begun!

Scheduled for 5 October 2008 it is a great event appealing to riders of all abilities from first timers through to experienced racers. Categories include Solo, Teams of 2, Teams of 3, Teams of 4, First Timers and also a kids race.

A crew of 16 dedicated and enthusiastic 8 Hr Enduro riders spent last Sunday maintaining and constructing the already great track at Kurwongbah. In particular a great new section of single track was created which includes a cool sweeping switchback descent named “The Serpents Tail”. This track links up to the Dukes of Hazard jump which was so popular at Insomnia. For those not ready for the jump yet don’t worry, there is an alternate easy route around it. The tracks for both the 8hr Enduro and Insomnia next year have both had extensive work completed to allow the omission of boggy sections in the case of heavy rain. This work promises some great new and interesting features for new riders and those who have already done a number of races at Kurwongbah.

For the families once again organisers have booked a free jumping castle for the kids to enjoy. Happy kids means happy parents! Don’t forget too that there are a number of informal kids races planned on a small track around HQ for kids who can just ride through to 13 years.
