Countdown is On

Supported by the Kayak industry and Outdoor Industry this race is proving to be a favourite amongst the paddlers of the AR community, with possibly the highest ratio of prizes to competitors of any event out there this event is a must for everyone.

It goes without saying that the race attracts more and more newcomers every year and is by no means a tough event and is achievable for people of all levels.

Speaking with the course setter during the week, Matt Blundell, he told us
\"there is more than just a big lake out there\" (check your street directory folks, it is surrounded by alot of bush, Matt runs Prokayaks which is based on the shores of the lake, and lives almost as close, so if there is something out there to see, Matt has found it and been there. A keen kayaker himself Matt will be missing not doing this event, but it doesnt mean he will be taking it easy on the weekend of the 6th of December.

The afternoon of the race Matt plans to fly to NZ to take part in a 70km down river race on the Waimak, this is the same paddle course that Matt has done numerous times in the Speights\' Coast to Coast.

So the next morning after completing the Max Paddle spare a thought for Matt, he will still have 70km to do :))

The main event that weekend in Sydney is the Max Adventure Paddle, the event starts at 8am and will finish at 11am, time will be of the essence, so once you have your points per checkpoint figured it will be time to move your butt. Just remember dont be late back....
