“I’m really excited about what they’re planning for Adventure Week in Idaho. It looks like it’s going to be a top-class event,” said Adamson. “When I retired from active racing, I truly retired, but I did leave myself one caveat, in that I would race if I could do it for work and it was a special event.” Adamson is currently working as Technical Advisor on the development team for Newton Running, who will be represented at Adventure Week. (www.newtonrunning.com)

“Newton has developed a revolutionary running shoe design that is causing a paradigm shift in the industry,” states Adamson. “I’ve been honored to join the team and excited to lend my experience to Newton Running’s ongoing innovation and design excellence, and I think they’ll be a perfect fit for the athletes at Adventure Week.” Newton is the winningest shoe at the Ironman World Championship over the past three years, and is gaining more converts daily with its revolutionary design.

When asked about competing again, Adamson was excited. “As far as racing next summer, I’ve kept my fitness up, and I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to put in a respectable effort. I’m looking forward to bouncing around in the woods at Adventure Week 2009.”

Come and take part in Adventure Week 2009, and race against the greatest racer ever, one last time!!
