Adventure Racing arrives at Red Leaves Resort

The Frontier Adventure Challenge Fall Classic is one of the most-anticipated adventure races of the season, and the selection of the luxurious and aptly named Red Leaves Resort on Lake Rosseau as the 2009 host site adds substantially to the appeal.<br /> <br /> The Frontier Adventure Challenge Fall Classic has been a wild and memorable race for years, as both weekend warriors and some of Canadaââ‚¬â„¢s top adventure athletes compete on an unmarked wilderness racecourse that spans over 75km of mountain biking, trail running, trekking, and paddling. Navigating purely by map and compass, and relying on strategy, teamwork and instinct, teams of three can be all-male, all-female, or coed, or racers can go solo.<br /> Red Leaves Resort, in the heart of Muskoka, provides an unbeatable backdrop of shimmering lakes, thundering waterfalls and sheer granite cliffs covered with diverse forests, and a rich tapestry of crimson and gold autumn foliage. The event is hosted in partnership with Muskoka Sports & Recreation, and will be based at Cleveland's House and The Rosseau, a JW Marriott Resort & Spa.<br />
