Time to Enter TransRockies 2010

After the excitement of the 2009 race it barely seems possible that a whole month has passed since the finish of the 2009 GORE-TEXÂ® TransRockies Run. The calendar doesn't lie, though, and registration for the 2010 race opens today!

If you're determined to be part of the TransRockies Run, your chance to secure your team spot begins when online registration opens at 12:01 AM (MDT) on Oct. 1st. For 2010 the field limit will be limited to 200 teams of 2 and based upon this year's numbers and the amount of positive media, inquiries and great runner feedback it's expected that the 2010 race will sell out quickly.

If you want to enter you don't need to have a team mate finalized yet to secure your team spot, you just need to sign up the Captain and then confirm the other member of your team by July 15th, 2010. Racers have to be over 18 and an US$800 deposit is needed to secure and entry to one of the 5 available classes (men, women's, mixed and 80+ men's and women's). The full entry cost is US$2900 per team and this covers just about everything on a race that is renowned for its slick back-up, so there is no need to worry about medical support, food, tents or baggage transport.

Everything is laid on and judging by the post-race survey from 2009, which garnered a 99% participant satisfaction rating, it is done to very high standards so all the runners can concentrate on enjoying the course and the Rockies scenery.
