AR World Championship 2010 dates set, course planning in progress

2010 will mark the eighth edition of Bimbache Extrem, internationally recognized as one of the hardest and most important adventure races in the world. It will take place between September 30 and October 9.

The Bimbache Extrem Castilla y León 2010 will be THE ADVENTURE RACE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP. Competing here will be, among others, the winning teams of the seven editions of the Adventure Race World Series.

50 mixed-sex teams of 4 members each, coming from approximately thirty countries, are expected to participate. In the last two years, the Bimbache route has passed through the central Spanish provinces of Segovia, Soria, Valladolid, Burgos, León and Palencia. This year's longer route will pass throught he historic provinces of Salamanca, Zamora and Ávila.

Since the 2010 edition is the world championship it will have a longer course than in past editions, expected to comprise a total of about 700 kilometres of mountain bicycle, trekking, canoeing in rivers and lakes, rafting, in-line skating and, as always, incredible and spectacular sections of ropes, tyroline and rappel.
