Before sun up tomorrow the final checkpoints will go in, the event now #5 will unleash over 100 paddlers on the scenic Woronora River.

In setting the course, this year and previous years it allways amazes me some of the spots you find, i started paddling here near 20yrs ago, not much has changed, the Crescent is still the crescent, ie a wildlife corridor to the plateau above,(and not a bus route) the upper reaches of the Wonny although inhabited are being reclaimed by the bush slowly, a reversal of the urban sprawl that is slowly taking over many other areas, many of the oyster leases are now gone but their remains linger as a cautious reminder of the rivers past.

If you havent entered already you may well be too late but get on the mailing list for next year so drop Max Adventure a line, supported by some great sponsors this year and with over $3000 worth of prizes the event will no doubt be a huge success again.
