Cradle to Coast Ultra Challenge - Tasmania

Taking place over this weekend is the Cradle to Coast Ultra Challenge, Ultra being the word as well. Arguably the toughest multisport race in the country, the Cradle to Coast kicked off this morning with a 62km run along the Overland Track from Cradle Mountain to Narcissus Hut, competitors will then round out the day with a 15km Kayak across Lake St Clair.

Day 2 sees stage 3,4,5 add 163km to the tally.
Leg 3 takes competitors on their Road Bikes 117km from Cynthia Bay to the Meadowbank Dam Turnoff, followed by a 4km run to the Derwent River, done with their legs entrants then take to the water for the next 42km finishing at Norfolk.

Day 3 or monday for those of us back at work is no ordinary day in the office, individuals and teams will then hit the water again for stage 6 in the 15km kayak leg to Bridgewater, where they will then mount their bikes for the last time and cycle 59km to Collinsvale, the race finishes with a 23km run to Salamanca Place.
