The Prologue part of the adidas TERREX Adventure Race Thursday 26th August 7.30pm, Moot Hall, KeswickFancy some FREE competitive fun? The adidas TERREX Adventure Race comes to Keswick on August 26th and invites teams of four to join in a FREE mini Adventure Race around Keswick to celebrate the start of this event. Not only will you get the chance to test out your adventure racing skills but you can also win some fantastic prizes from adidas TERREX. So if you want a piece of the action but can’t commit to the full race why not enter the prologue, it’s certainly not your usual relay. Enter at your Peril!
The adidas TERREX Adventure Race is a 400km race and promises to be the Adventure Race of a life time, with no corner of Cumbria being left unexplored. Teams can expect to traverse the fells by foot, swoop down the area’s best single track on a mountain bike and to paddle across the vast lakes – Not to mention a few hidden surprises to keep the team on their toes. It is sure to be a true test of each athlete’s mental and physical stamina. The adidas TERREX adventure race is open to all levels of experience. It will challenge the elite and international adventure race teams and offer shorter courses for novices – no one will miss out on any of the drama or excitement to be found in the Lake District.

The Prologue – Open Adventure will be testing your skills on this short course around Keswick and you can expect a few surprises en route. Be prepared to get wet, be tested on your navigation, and to have to leg it to the finish line. All you need to bring is your team, a compass and your running shoes. Nervous – well don’t be the aim of the race is to give the town a taste of what the real adventure racers will incur - the emphasis is on fun. You will be competing against some of the top adventure race teams from across the country and around the world.
Looking good is essential, as the Prologue will make up a part of a 30 minute programme being televised on Channel 4 which is following the entire race across Cumbria. So why not enter a team from work and challenge the other stores on the high street, or are you a group of mates who think they have got what it takes to beat the International Adventure Race teams?
