If you are a hard core cyclist take on the solo or Duo challenge or if you are not quite up to that grab a group of friends and enter as a team of 3 - 5 or 10. Teams work on a relay system, each team member must complete at least one lap of the course.Camping is included in the event entry price and is located beside the transition area for the race. There will be an event after party on the Sunday night in Newport. There will be a meal, some live entertainment and of course the prize giving.
Road route finalised
The route for the Road race has now been finalised! The route is approximately 25km in length and takes in the stunning scenery in and around the Nephin Beg mountain range. You can download the route card or visit the website to look at the map.
Mountain Bike route update
We are still working on the mountain bike route and adding more single track. We are hoping to incorporate the Bangor trail and shorten the route on last year to improve the competitor experience. Any updates will be posted on the course page.

Competitor Testimonials from the 2009 event.
Here is what some of last year’s participants had to say about the event;
Road Race Competitor
“I wanted to write and tell you how much I enjoyed the event. The positives were many. The main ones being:- yourselves - always made to feel welcome and part of it. The fact that the roads were swept, clearly marked and was marshalled and had warning signs was very good. I felt safer at night. I think the camp site worked very well - even if I did not use it at all. The briefings were a good idea and your being available all the time was good too. The course on Nephin Drive was lovely and worth the visit all on its own. West of Ireland generally and Mayo particularly is a nice place to visit and there was a 'Cead Mile Failte'â€

“I'd just like to say I thought the whole event was very enjoyable. As a team doing this kind of thing for the first time we all had a great time. I also thought it was very well organised and there was a lot of work done by yourselves and the marshals out on the course which was much appreciatedâ€
